Runquesting

Terms

Plain language, because this is a free product made by one person, not a fortress.

The deal. Runquesting is free to use. It's provided as-is: no warranties, no guaranteed uptime, no promise it fits any particular purpose. I work hard to keep it correct and online, and sometimes things break anyway.

Your content. You own what you log and what you name. Quest titles, milestone destinations, and your activity history are your data; we claim no rights over them beyond storing and displaying them back to you and your party. Export or delete them whenever you want (see Privacy).

Be decent. Don't use quest or milestone names to harass people you share quests with, don't try to break into other people's data, and don't hammer the service with automated traffic. Accounts doing these things can be removed.

Shared quests. Inviting a companion shares that quest's data with them: the route, the party's logs, and progress. Leaving a quest leaves your logged miles with the party's history. Deleting your account is different: quests you share pass to your oldest companion, and your logged miles go with you.

Fan content. Some premade routes trace journeys from Tolkien's books. Those routes are unofficial fan content; Middle-earth belongs to the Tolkien Estate and its licensees, and Runquesting claims no affiliation with either.

Liability. To the maximum extent the law allows, Runquesting and its maker aren't liable for damages arising from using the site. It's a free journey log; the stakes were never meant to be higher than that. This isn't medical advice, and how far you run is between you and your body.

Changes. If these terms change, the change appears here.
