Privacy
This page is short because the data is short.
What we store. Your sign-in identity (your email address, or your Google account's ID and email), a display name, and your Runquesting data: quests, milestones, logged activities, who's in your party and any invite links you've made, and whether you've asked for the weekly digest. That's the complete list. No location, no GPS traces, no health data, no contacts.
Where it lives. Your data is stored with Supabase, our database provider. The site is served from our own hosting behind Cloudflare. Your sign-in session is kept in your browser's storage so you stay signed in.
Analytics. If you allow it on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to see which pages and routes people visit. If you decline, no analytics run. You can change your mind any time: signed in, Account menu → the analytics switch; signed out, clear this site's data in your browser and the cookie note will ask again. There is no advertising and no ad tech either way, and we never sell or share your data with anyone.
Tips. The tip jar runs on Ko-fi, on Ko-fi's site. Payment details never touch Runquesting and we never see them.
Export. Account menu → Export my data. You get one JSON file with your profile, quests, milestones, memberships, and logs.
Deletion. Account menu → Delete my account. Quests only you own are permanently erased with their logs. Quests you share pass to your oldest companion, and your own logged miles are removed from them too. If you also want your sign-in record removed from the underlying auth system entirely, use the contact form (opens in new tab) and I'll do it by hand.
Children. Runquesting isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes. If this page changes, the change will be visible here, in plain language like the rest of it.
Questions: the contact form (opens in new tab) reaches me.
