The road.
From Amon Hen this route drops into the rock maze of the Emyn Muil, then fifty miles of the Dead Marshes. The route bends south the way Frodo did, past the hidden falls at Henneth Annûn, to the Crossroads, and up the stairs at Cirith Ungol. The final leg is 130 miles across the plateau with the mountain in view the whole way.
